We held the first test of this season, an AV Retriever Open, today (14.4.24) at Combe Davey by kind invitation of our Chairman, Dr Tim Woodgate-Jones
Our Judges were Helena Sully (A), Kelvin Nettleingham (B) and Pete Leyden and as always a huge thank you to them and the helpers for their invaluable contribution to a happy day.
Twenty seven dogs were entered with six withdrawals,

2023
We held our Puppy, Novice Dog/Novice Handler and Novice AV Retriever tests today, (9.7.23), at the South West Gundog Training Centre near Tiverton by kind invitation of Ed Brown.
Our Judges were Keith and Jane Manley, Jo Fergie and Victoria Pitcher – our thanks to them and all the helpers for making it a successful and happy day.
The eight Puppies, (one withdrawal), were judged by Jo and Tor in the morning
A fantastic day for the Zennawood and Studebaker kennels as well as the Latham sisters!
After a run off for first and second, the results were:

The ND/NH and Novice tests started at midday and were judged by Keith and Jane Manley, Jo Fergie and Victoria Pitcher.
After two withdrawals, eight ND/NHs ran with Ellie Macadam’s Lab B Breezebrook Raven awarded the Best ND/NH who was competing in her first test.
Initially there were thirty five entries for the Novice with eight withdrawals.
After a run off for first and second the results were:

Results of the Exmoor Gundog Club’s AV Retriever Puppy (6 – 18 months) and Novice GWTs held today (19.6.22) at Combe Davey, Somerset by the kind invitation of our Chairman Dr. Tim Woodgate-Jones.
After the recent hot weather, all tests were set in the woods; it was an unnecessary precaution but at least it didn’t rain!
Special thanks to our Judges – David Godding, Jess Latham, Charlotte Wear, and Dr. Tim who stood in to replace our fourth Judge who was unable to come today.

We held the first event of our tenth anniversary year🥂🎉, an AV Retriever Open and Veteran GWT at Combe Davey today (3.4.22). Despite snow being forecast, we were blessed with glorious Spring sunshine after a very chilly start.
