We held our Puppy, Novice Dog/Novice Handler and Novice AV Retriever tests today, (9.7.23), at the South West Gundog Training Centre near Tiverton by kind invitation of Ed Brown.
Our Judges were Keith and Jane Manley, Jo Fergie and Victoria Pitcher – our thanks to them and all the helpers for making it a successful and happy day.
The eight Puppies, (one withdrawal), were judged by Jo and Tor in the morning
A fantastic day for the Zennawood and Studebaker kennels as well as the Latham sisters!
After a run off for first and second, the results were:

2nd: Louise Latham’s Lab B Zennawood Olive (competing in her first test)
3rd: Mary-Jane Opie’s Lab D Zennawood Volvo by Studebaker

The ND/NH and Novice tests started at midday and were judged by Keith and Jane Manley, Jo Fergie and Victoria Pitcher.
After two withdrawals, eight ND/NHs ran with Ellie Macadam’s Lab B Breezebrook Raven awarded the Best ND/NH who was competing in her first test.
Initially there were thirty five entries for the Novice with eight withdrawals.
After a run off for first and second the results were:

We held our first test of the season on 16.4.23 for AV Open and Veteran Retrievers. A huge thank you to John Mackelden and Julie Kelvie for inviting us to such an amazing ground.
